Material to Digital

Research context

Digitalisation of Artworks and Cultural Heritage Protection was a National Undergraduate Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Program project, July 2024–July 2025. It explores how cultural references can move between physical making and digital representation.

Process and material

The supplied midterm report traces research into Taihu stones and the Chinese zodiac, followed by drawings, clay studies, digital models and derivative objects. This movement across media is the core of the documented practice.

What is evidenced

My CV records completion of the training project. The material available here is the midterm report. Its proposed digital collection platform and virtual exhibition are future concepts; this portfolio does not present them as a deployed museum, a finished AR/VR system or a tested product.

Future research interest

How can interactive representations make cultural objects accessible while retaining their material, narrative and cultural context? I am interested in interfaces that connect close looking, storytelling and participation.
